Every day we go looking through news outlets around the world for stories about people helping each other, problems getting solved, animals finding homes, and communities turning up for one another. Then we put them in one place, short enough to read with a cup of coffee.

That's the whole idea.

What to expect

Real stories from real news outlets. We link straight to the original, so you can read the full piece where it was published and see who reported it.

Nothing manufactured, and nothing sentimental for the sake of it. Just things that actually happened, told plainly, that we thought were worth knowing about.

Why we bother

Reading the news shouldn't leave you feeling worse than when you started. Good things happen constantly — they just don't lead the bulletin. We think they're worth a few minutes of your morning.

We're not trying to tell you the world is fine. We're just trying to make sure the other half of it gets read too.

Who's behind it

Ray Pader puts this together. He runs several industry newsletters and also wanted to do something just to make people feel better. This is why Good News Daily was created.
